How it works

Four steps, the same for every occasion.

What repeats every year

Birthdays, anniversaries and monthly anniversaries are automated. After you add the date once, Giftler reminds you 30 days before and sends gift options as previews on WhatsApp 10 days before, every year. That is the difference from a gift shop, where nothing happens until you go looking, and from a reminder app, where the reminder arrives but the options and delivery do not.

What it costs

You pay for the gift plus a Giftler service fee that starts at ₹99. Nothing is charged to look at the five options. There is no charge for looking at the options, so you can decide with the gift in front of you.

Your gift budget is yours to set. A ₹1,500 gift costs ₹1,500 plus the service fee; a ₹10,000 gift costs ₹10,000 plus the fee.

A worked example

Say your sister's birthday is in three weeks. She lives in Pune, you live in Toronto, and you have no idea what to get. You tell Giftler she is 31, loves trekking, recently complained about her old backpack, and that you want to spend about ₹4,000. A real person reads that, selects five options that fit her, and sends them to you on WhatsApp. You pick the one that sounds most like her. It is wrapped, delivered to her address in Pune, and the card reads as if you had written it yourself. The next year, Giftler already has the date.

Where it delivers

Giftler delivers to the location you choose: the recipient's address, or your own if you would rather hand the gift over in person. Delivery is within India, and you can be anywhere in the world when you place the order.

Giftler puts four things in one service: gift ideas, five gift suggestions chosen for the person, gift delivery, and automation that repeats every year. You do not have to search, shop or remember the date.

How it differs from a catalogue, a reminder app and a marketplace

These tools do different jobs, and each is good at its own.

• A reminder app tells you the date is coming. It does not choose, wrap or deliver anything. Giftler does all three.

What Giftler is not

Giftler is not a shop you browse and it is not a reminder app. It is built for gifts you plan ahead for a particular person, so give yourself time rather than ordering on the day itself. It does not deliver outside India.

Gift delivery

Every gift is wrapped and the card goes out in your name. Delivery goes to the location you choose, and there are two ways to give:

• Send it Giftler delivers the gift to the person, with a card in your name.
• Hand it over yourself the gift comes to you, wrapped and ready, and you give it in person.

Automated every year

1. You add the person and the date once.
2. 30 days before: Giftler reminds you.
3. 10 days before: you get gift options as previews on WhatsApp.
4. You choose one, and it is delivered to the location you pick.
5. Next year the same cycle runs again. Monthly anniversaries run on the same cycle every month.
